Aiming to Make a Career in Programming

I am currently a third year student, studying Computer Games Technology. I am pursuing a career change into programming. On our course we mainly concentrate on C++, however, I also have experience in Java, Javascript, C# and html5. I currently work as a Remote QA tester for VMC on a part time basis. Previously in the past, I have done an Inhouse QA Tester placement at Reloaded Games in Edinburgh, and a QA Support & Test Engineer Internship at Sony Playstation in London. I am also the President of the UWS Games Dev Society and enjoy organising events for the society.

I enjoy networking and game jamming, and I volunteer with local community events for IGDA Scotland & Women In Games. I also have an interest in game journalism and also work on my own pieces as well as work as an editor for XBL gaming.

I am on the lookout for any internships/placements/contracts from summer 2016 onwards, for advancing my programming/design/QA experience either in a games studio or software development environment. I would be willing to do either a summer or 12/18 month placement, or a combination of both. I always want to further advanced my own skills and learn from industry professionals.
